| A QUICK SUMMARY I started my career as an apprentice toolmaker and continued on to a journeyman in the Aerospace industry. I started my jewelry career as an artist in Big Sur, California. The Phoenix Shop in Big Sur was the first to show my work, and still do today. My first Studio was at the Coast Gallery in Big Sur, California. It was washed away in a landslide in 1972. Relocated to Carmel, California where I opened a small designer studio. Concepts Gallery started to exhibit my work. Being a contemporary gallery, called for a clean new look and the "Stacking Ring" was born The beginning of a National sales program, and doing Trade Shows. This developed into selling to over 40 stores and galleries nation-wide. My Flag ship store "GOPH & CO." a designer's showroom was opened. And operated successfully for ten more years. A BIG change: I was to return to being a "Designer-craftsman" a one man show, where I design and created it all. We moved to Bend, Oregon and built a dream studio. Steve and Elaine Kaufman of Ladyfingers Jewelry took over representing me in Carmel, California. My work is now shown exclusively in five fine Galleries. Celebrated the 25th year of "Stacking Ring", with a show at Ladyfingers in Carmel. There I also unveiled my latest collection of “One-of-a-Kind” large pendants. We have added The Vault to our family of fine Galleries. Artwares is adding "Stacking Rings" to my work that they show More to be announced, it’s not over yet! |
